I just love this game. It is so much fun, not too hard to drive, and did i mention, FUN!!! They've really caught that dynamic that has been missing in alot of recent games, going far away from realism and making something enjoyable to play.

Great job Nadeo on an impressive sequel to the original TM. This is the best sequel I've seen since MTM2.

I have been playing this game a lot since I got the demo.

The lack of a main room chat sucks. Not sure how the buddy list works, Zond is my only buddy so far.

Game is released, I ordered mine from gogamer.com it should ship out the 15th or so. Can't wait. I'll be playing this game primarily from now on.

At this point I don't care about chat that much anymore. Mainly what I mean by that is I am not going to overlook the fun I'm having with TMS over main chat. How many years have we hoped for another game with main chat? I'm done waiting.

At first it will take some time , sure, but I think as we build our buddy lists up, it won't be too bad. You can click on servers and see names and what tracks are being ran.

The main advantages I see is, no downloading tracks unless you want to host.
No joining a game and not having tracks, ever. If the host allows downloading, you can hit ESC and download the track and its instant, plus it makes a folder with the authors name so the game keeps them organized for you. The full game is supposed to allow downloading of custom skins, cars and track logos if someone wants to. Unsure exactly how all that will work at this point.

What I do know, is I'm having a blast and I have yet to not find a race with the demo, the full game should be even better.

My copy finally arrived on Friday. I installed it on Saturday. Not realistic, but its a blast. The sense of speed is great. It runs as good on the old 1.3Ghz AMD as it does on my 2.4Ghz P4. Which is really nice. Something new that runs on a wide range of PC's.

The AMD computer uses PC133 Sdram and TI4600.

I have not hosted yet, so I don't know if there is any performance hit. Always plenty of games to join. Would be nice to get an FTR/NKA favorite track list out there to run...

Usually I settle for Gold medals. I go for the Nadeo if I think I can make it, but those have usually come for me when I'm doing the series cups.

A bandaid would be host and limit the room to what you can support.

The track editor.

Something that is easy enough for the novice to throw a decent track together. Plus you can password protect the file.

I don't know much about track editing I put together a challenge in about 3 minutes. It doesn't have hills, loops, just a flat road course.

There aren't a lot of commands and the track size is limited in area. The tracks are large enough to be interesting. You can mix stunts in with the course to, have a loop or require a run up a ramp with a 180 turn in mid air then down another ramp, go underground. While the block selection may be limited the variety is extensive. A good trackmaker can keep it fresh.

Hope those of you that have it give the editor a try.

Coppers I imagine. Somethings I don't understand. From a track makers perspective why not give me everything up front.

I like the game a lot and having a great time loosing to even more people now.

It's a bit easier going if you had the original version.

The more coppers you have, the more pieces you get. You can get copper cheats, that's what the big trackmakers have done in order to get all the pieces without having to win all the races.

I'll see what I can find on the 'net or pick up the original Trackmania. I am sure there are copper cheats still available for it. Gogamer was easy to deal with I will go back to them.

I am thinking copying some of the great road courses then adding in a few stunts to give them the TMS feel might be pretty cool.

He hasn't made a track yet I know of. There are 700-800 3rd party tracks for TMS. I don't know if Trackmania tracks work with TMS.

There is an ingame track editor. To make tracks you need coppers (money) to get coppers you complete the offline series.
